Donna's Hot Chocolate by Ashley

I call this "Donna's Hot Chocolate" because my mom has been making this since I was an infant. We have it every Christmas morning, but of course we make it more times than once a year. This doesn't have specific measurements because you make it to your taste. Milk (We even use skim and it is good) Hershey's Cocoa Sugar Marshmallows Heat your milk in a pot on the stove slowly. If the milk burns it is bad news. Stir occasionally. As it gets warmer add your sugar and cocoa. I like mine to be a very light brown and add sugar to taste, but remember once you add the marshmallows it gets sweeter. Last, but not least, add the marshmallows until they melt in one layer on top. Enjoy!!

Cranberry Limeade = Oh My Word! By: Lindsey

A few weeks back I read this recipe on a friends(Jennifer Latham) blog. It sounded so yummy but today was the first day I remembered it while I was at the grocery store. I bought the ingredients and let me tell you...I could drink one of these several times a day! It is SO good!!! To top it off, my fridge does not make crushed ice...so I went to Sonic and bought some of their crushed ice. It makes this drink even better. PLEASE go get the recipe for this if you like fruity drinks. Yum! Here's what you need: 1 bottle cranberry juice (I used the Light Cranberry juice to have less calories) 1 container frozen limeade 1 bottle Fresca 1 lime crushed ice • In a pitcher, mix frozen limeade with 4 and 1/3 container (use the limeade container) cranberry juice (you'll use the juice instead of water, like the container calls for) • Fill your favorite glass with crushed ice • Fill the glass half-way full with cranberry/limeade mix • Fill the glass the rest of the way with Fresca • Squeeze ...

Strawberry Punch

You probably don't need a punch recipe much but if you do this one is so easy, very good and sweet. It was a hit Sunday at Free Chapel. I made 3 batches for Sunday and it probably served 60 people. Donna Strawberry Punch 1 small strawberry jello 3 cups sugar 1 can frozen lemonade 1 large can pineapple juice (I think it's a 32oz can) 1 bottle of ginger ale put jello and sugar in gallon pitcher add boiling water (however much it says on jello directions) and stir add lemonade and pineapple juice fill up pitcher the rest of the way with water pour into 2 gallon freezer bag and lay flat to freeze Remove from freezer 3 or 4 hours before ready to serve and place in a cooler. when ready to serve (I crushed the mixture with a rubber mallet) while it is still in freezer bag before you put it in the punch bowl...and add ginger ale until it is the consistency you want...

Good Ole Southern Sweet Tea By: Lindsey(Donna's recipe)

Here is a recipe for some really good sweet tea. I make it all the time. Especially since we are located in Austin( hardly nowhere here serves sweet tea). 6 Family Size Luzianne Decaff. Tea bags 4 Cups of water 2 Cups sugar This makes a gallon. Place 6 tea bags in a bowl of some sort that has 4 cups of water in it. Put in microwave for 6 minutes. Take tea bags out of water, then add 2 cups of sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour in gallon pitcher(sp?). Then add water to almost the top. Stir and serve. So good! Now! If you like sweet tea but want something with a little less sugar you can replace the 2 cups of sugar with 1 1/2 cups of splenda and 1/2 cup of sugar. Still really good!
