Yummy Corn Casserole By: Lindsey

Hey ladies! Well, just wanted to let you in on a GREAT recipe that my mother-in-law shared with me. EVERYTIME I make it people go on and on about how much they love it. The other day, at a neighborhood block party(where I knew no one) someone called me the corn girl and asked everyone to give me a round of applause for the corn casserole that I made(and they did). Ha! So, definitely try this one. You will LOVE it!

1 8oz. cream cheese
1 can creamed corn
1 can whole kernel corn(drained)
1 box of jiffy corn bread mix
1 stick of butter

Mix all the ingredients together(I would highly recommend using a mixer...not by hand). Spray a small pyrex dish(unless you double the recipe, then use a 9x13). Pour the mixture into the dish. Bake on 400 for 45 min-1 hour. Take out when it is a little brown.

Lindsey, made this tonight. It smelled SO good about 5 minutes in! I LOVED it. I think I'll eat it for a snack tonight. And Lydia loved doing the mixer! :)

I'm excited to try this one, Linds! Keep adding more..haha..I'm going to become a regular viewer!
This is one of my all-time favorite recipes! You are so right that people go crazy over it! It's yummy left-over, too!
I love corn casserole!! I make this, except I use sour cream instead of cream cheese. But I want to try it with cream cheese! Yum!! I melt the stick of butter in the casserole dish before adding the ingredients and baking it. It gives it a yummy buttery crust around the edges.

I love this blog! Thanks, girls!

Simple Cole Slaw by Ashley

I love coleslaw, all different kinds, but I have never made it before. A girl that I don't know has a recipe blog that I go to often and I got this recipe from her. I loved that it said "simple". Simple I can do. *my Dad loves coleslaw as well, but is kind of a coleslaw snob and he really liked it. *i served it with homemade sloppy joes and tater tots :) Ingredients: 1/3 cup canola-based mayonnaise ( I am sure you can use any kind of mayo, but this is better for you.) 1 and 1/2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 3 cups packaged cabbage and carrot coleslaw Directions: Combine mayo, sugar, pepper, salt, and dry mustard with a whisk. Add coleslaw and toss.

BIG news! LABELS

Guess what? I found out how to add a label section to the side of the blog!! Yay! So far I have quite a few labels over there. I am sure it will get more detailed than that. Hopefully if any of you are looking for something in particular you can just click on our labels and find what you need. BTW, if it is a main dish and also Italian(or whatever) I have it labeled for both. So, it should come up either way. Alright...peace to all!! :)

A Littel Tidbit by Ashley

Ok, so this isn't a recipe, but something tells me you will all want to know.  I have been meaning to tell my Mom, Lindsey, and Kimberly but keep forgetting. If someone told me I could only have two things in my make-up bag, it would probably be eyeliner and mascara.  I found a new mascara that I love.  This is coming from someone who's favorite was $27 dollar a tube Lancome mascara.  It is lashblast from Cover Girl.  O magazine rated it #1 best mascara of this year! I love it!! Just thought I would share!
